Wheel Energy Test: 40 km/h

I also compared a GP4000S 2 25 mm and a GPTT 23 mm
that I had left in stock. Below is the summary of the measurements with
weight! width! watts measured at 40 km/h and real difference on the road. I remind you that the differences between the tires are amplified on the Roller and that
you have to divide by 4 to 4.5 depending on the speeds to be close to Wheel Energy Test reality at 40
km/h.

Summary Comparative tires corrected

As you can see! all the tires are
very close. The GP4000S 2 25 mm seems to be ahead of the Michelin Power!
even though it was behind in the Bike Radar test. This gap can certainly be explained Wheel Energy Test by the low mass
of the GP.  With 172 g
measured for 190 g announced! I was lucky to have a industry email list model in the
low tolerance. However! when you look at the wear indicator vs. that of a TT! you really have
the impression that it has rubber! The Attack is therefore the fastest in
my test and is ahead of all the references! GP TT included (1 watt). The force measured at 220 g for 210 g announced
is doing very well because it comes 2nd in the test. The evolution of the Black
chili rubber is certainly the reason for this a large number of concurrent visitors very good rolling too. Finally
I remounted the Michelin Power to check that there had been no drift in
the test and I found the same measured watts (to 0.2 w ready) as initially.

I also tested the ATTACK / FORCE 3

windless day on my reference climb of Salbert.
2 climbs: SRM watts study vs theoretical watts
Without comparing it to other tires but noting
a very good Watts delivered / chrono ratio (Gain of 10w vs Theory for those who are used to the blog  ! J)
we are really in very good performances measured betting email list up to now.

Finally! I used the set during my only cyclo of
the year: the Alsacienne. On the 2700 MD+ of climbs and almost as many descents! I was really impressed by the compromise between handling! comfort and grip of the tires.
